No. Every FlexScreen is custom-made to your exact window dimensions, so it is essential to measure your windows carefully. Please see our HOW TO page for printable instructions and detailed step-by-step videos that will guide you through the process. As always, our customer service team is happy to help!
Currently our screens can be manufactured to the following dimensions:
WIDTH: minimum 9" - maximum 55"
HEIGHT: minimum 9" - maximum 80".
This makes our maximum screen dimensions 55" wide x 80" high.
No. FlexScreen is a custom product that requires a specific measuring process, depending on your window type. (See our How-To page for step-by-step, detailed measuring instructions.) Your old screen measurements will not work with FlexScreen.
Not at this time. However, we have great do-it-yourself measuring tools on our HOW TO page, including a printable measuring guide and two detailed step-by-step videos. Of course, our customer service team is always here to answer your questions!
Because we're a new and innovative invention, many people don't realize that our screens cannot be compared to traditional window screens. Our materials and manufacturing process are entirely different, and our widow screen is superior in every way.
Our sleek, flexible frame is made of high carbon, oil tempered spring-steel, coated in an exterior grade PVC, making it nearly indestructible. It virtually disappears in your screen track or pocket, eliminating the need for color matching and dramatically improving sightlines. Best of all, FlexScreen has ZERO hardware for effortless installation and removal in seconds.
Our replacement rate is .02% - approximately 1 in 3,600. (The traditional window screen replacement rate is around 1 in 30.) Because of our extreme durability, we are able to offer a limited lifetime warranty - essentially making FlexScreen the last screens you'll ever need to buy and saving you money in the long run!
Window measurements are entered AFTER your order is completed and paid. Your receipt page will have a blue "enter measurements" link that will take you to our measuring site with full instructions and a place to enter your measurements. (After your order is complete, you will also receive an e-mail confirmation that will have the same link to our measuring page, so don't worry about missing it!)
We do this to give our customers plenty of time to review our measuring instructions and get comfortable with the process. Enter your measurements anytime at your convenience - we're ready whenever you are! (You can view our measuring instructions anytime on our HOW TO page.)
FlexScreen is made from phosphate enhanced spring steel coated with an exterior grade, high performance PVC which provides outstanding scratch and weather resistance. We offer a variety of screen meshes.
We offer five types of screen material: Standard, FlexView, FlexView Clean, FlexView Tuff, and FlexView Solar. See screen mesh options here.
FlexScreen fits firmly into the screen tracks already existing in most windows. If you don’t have a screen track, don’t worry we’ve got you covered. Our FlexFit® Retention Bumpers* are the perfect solution for challenging window designs. *Patent Pending
All window screens are made for the sole purpose of keeping bugs out of your home - not to hold anything in. Any screen can be pushed out with enough force, so always exercise caution with children and pets around open windows.
For FlexScreen, specifically, a lot depends on what type of window you have. It's either very hard, hard, or not so hard. If your screens are sitting inside of a screen track on the inside of your home (as in casement windows or other crank-out type windows), FlexScreen would be extremely difficult to push out. In windows with screen tracks on the outside of the home, it would require a little less force. If there were no screen tracks and our screen was simply being held by tension in the window opening on the outside of your home, it would be relatively easy to push out.
Please visit our HOW TO page to see precisely how FlexScreen works and fits in different applications.
No. Our screens are produced as squares or rectangles only in sizes up to 55" wide by 80" high.
Our patent-pending Flexfit Retention Bumpers compress to hold your screen firmly in place if your windows have no pockets. Bumpers can also be used on your screens if your windows have pockets, but you would prefer a more snug fit. Every FlexScreen order is shipped with a pack of 8 retention bumpers per screen at no extra cost. You can see a quick clip of how our bumpers work in our 3D Animated Measuring Guide video on our HOW TO page. (Starting at the 3:37 mark.)
We do not make entire sliding or screen door units. However, our maximum screen size is 55" wide x 80" high so, in most cases, we can manufacture a screen large enough to replace the one in your current door or slider. One thing to consider is whether your existing door or slider's screen pocket (the channel in which your screen will sit) is compatible with our flexible frame. If the pocket is at least 5/16" WIDE, our screens will fit! It would be helpful for you to review the measuring videos and the printable guide on our HOW TO page to understand how FlexScreen fits and works in different applications. These tools will give you a great indicator of whether FlexScreen is a fit for your needs.
If you have pets in your home, we suggest upgrading to our Flexview Tuff mesh. It’s more rip and tear resistant and will hold up better to our four-legged friends! (However, we cannot guarantee that a determined animal couldn’t still damage it.) You can see pictures and descriptions of all of our mesh options on our MESH TYPES page.
We offer free shipping on all orders of 4 or more screens. Extra-large screens may incur additional fees, which would be subject to your approval before processing your order. Shipping is $35 on all orders of less than four screens. We currently ship only within the 48 contiguous United States.
Once we receive your window measurements, your screens will take approximately 10-15 business days to arrive.
